Book excerpt: It has been acknowledged that the applications of Articulated Steer vehicles (ASVs) result in some problems, such as rollover, jackknifing and snaking. In this book, for a typical ASV, a comprehensive study of the causes of the snaking, and of the effects of the vehicle parameters and operating conditions on the stability is presented.
