A spreadsheet-based DSS uses spreadsheets to organize data and perform some spreadsheet functions. It uses a basic programming language to design user interface and implement model algorithms and calculations. A DSS should also oregistered trademarker the user some options to resolve his problem for a comparative analysis which may enhance the decision making process. This thesis proposes design principles and a development process for building a spreadsheet-based decision support system.
