Marketing people have found a way to make their brands heard even more clearly and loudly by inserting them into reality shows, confirming the novelty genre’s popularity with television viewers. It is essential, however, to track how long people look at these commercials in order to pinpoint the kinds of active participation that lead to the most rapid involuntary memories of certain brands. This book shows the research executed using a structured questionnaire and short video clips from five Indian reality programs to assess the effectiveness of stealth advertising on the youth of Surat, India (aged 18-25). The outcomes are discussed at the end with potential suggestions to use stealth advertising in an effective way.
