This book was released on 2008 with total page 226 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Coronary artery diseases are a main cause of death in many countries. The understanding of blood flow through the arteries will provide more effective strategies to prevent and deal with artery diseases. The aim of this study is to develop a sophisticated simulation technique for the study of blood flow through the stenosed coronary artery. This work involves the construction of a three-dimensional fluid-structure interaction model coupling blood flow with arterial wall deformation, and development of numerical algorithms utilizing the current state of art technology in computational fluid dynamics.
