Beyond PTSD, there has been increasing research into its mechanism of action and in the efficacy of EMDR in other psychiatric and somatic disorders with comorbid psychological trauma. The motivation of this research topic was to offer new and innovative research on EMDR across the globe to an increasing number of clinicians and researchers with an interest in this trauma-focused intervention.
