He married Elizabeth Taylor (1798-1868), daughter of John Taylor and Hannah Harper, 22 May 1822 in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire. They had eight children. They emigrated in 1849 and settled in Spanish Fork, Utah. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England and Utah.
